Tyler Ross Endorses Koentopp Guitars
Tyler currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina where he performs, composes, and teaches jazz guitar at the College of Charleston. With eclectic tastes ranging from folk, to jazz, to rock, Tyler continues to acknowledge and explore his broad musical interests through a variety of projects.
Tyler is playing a Koentopp Electric featuring a flame maple top and a mahogany body. His guitar features a modern “Chicagoan” style fhole, Calaham hardware, hand-wound humbucker neck and bridge single coil pickups by Sheptone Pickups.
“I’ve been playing my Custom Koentopp Hollowbody-tele exclusively since I got it last September,” says Ross. “All my other electrics have stayed tucked away in their cases. Also, I hardly bring my pedalboard out to gigs anymore. This guitar has so many different timbres yet to be discovered and is a beautiful work of art in and of itself. ”
