Shop Visits and Photos by Roman Cho

It’s always special when artists come together and Roman Cho is one amazing artist! Roman Cho is a professional photographer living in LA and his scope of work is inspiring to say the least. Roman reached out to me and asked to stop by the shop here and there to snap some photos while I worked. Roman shot photos as we talked about food, art, and woodworking. He captured some beautiful images of two archtops being built, a Chicagoan Oval hole and an Amati.

Check out Roman’s amazing work at http://www.romancho.com/.

    Dan:

I’m a woodworker who makes furniture. I was admiring the vice in the photos above. If you get a chance, can you tell me the make and model?

    Beautiful work, BTW.

    Thanks!

    Keith

Thanks Keith! The vise is called a patternmaker’s vise or a gunsmith vise. I know Woodcraft sells them and also some luthier catalogs like Stewart MacDonald has them as well. Not sure what company makes them, they all seem to be the same just different paint jobs. I got mine many years ago from StewMac.
