#085 “The Dolphin”

“There hasn’t been a day since that I haven’t picked it up and not been delighted, surprised and inspired. Even this early, it is opening my ears up in ways I hadn’t dreamed of, inspiring me to hear and play lines from “out of nowhere” or Infinity!”

#085 “The Dolphin”

Close up of Front

Showing of the gorgeous Romanian Maple Back

Another closeup of the front which shows the subtle details including dolphin inlays along the fingerboard

Unbound Fholes- I use quite a bit these days, sometimes I feel tight binding can impart stiffness, not something I want to avoid on a smaller bodied archtop

Closeup of back and heel cap with captured purflings

Romanian Maple back with violin style oil varnish

Robust back arch

The Headstock rear is veneered with Macassar Ebony

Cutaway horn and heel

Smooth and Satiny Neck in Mahogany. I wanted to lighten this guitar up as much as possible to get everything I could out of a smaller bodied instrument.
