The Koentopp Sessions, with Anthony Wilson (Vol. I)
On February 21, 2023 Danny Koentopp met with Anthony Wilson and Caleb Vinson in the workshop of Koentopp Guitars. What resulted was the combination of three artists coming together to record an impromptu and inspiring moment. The overall idea was to capture the true sounds of three new guitars in the most realistic and captivating way. This is the first series (Vol 1) of many to come.

The three guitars being played by Anthony (in order of appearance) are: a 2023 16″ Amati, a 2023 Chicagoan, and a 2019 BlueLine fitted with a floating Ron Ellis prototype humbucker. The acoustic guitars were recorded with an Se T2 large diaphragm condenser microphone and an Se active ribbon microphone. For the BlueLine recording, Anthony was plugged into a 1965 Princeton Reverb.
