August 2013 Classical
This is a very traditional Classical guitar designed lightly around the ideas of Antonio Torres. Just a few days old, it already has a piano-like sound! I took liberty in modifying certain structural elements. I built this guitar with a barreled top arch which tapers slightly to the neck. This allows me to set the neck flat and maintain a perfect string clearance without putting a forward set on the neck. The result is a fingerboard that feels more consistent and extremely easy to play. Here are a few specs on this guitar:
- Top of European Spruce
- Back and Sides of Cocobolo Rosewood
- Mahogany neck
- 650mm scale
- Fan bracing
- French polished top with lacquered body
Hello, I am looking for a classical guitar like the one pictured here on your website. It says it was constructed in the style of Torrez. I have been enamored of the Torrez ever since hearing one being played on the Internet. If I were to order one of your guitars, what would the cost estimate. I just want a general ballpark figure range.
Thank you,
Hi Margo, Thanks for your message, I’ll send you an email.
