During the year off while\u00a0relocating my shop to Los\u00a0Angeles, I went back to the drawing board with my guitar designs. I wanted to reassure that\u00a0everything was right from the ground up. I redesigned my archings, my outlines, and other ideas. The end results are what I think to be instruments with more purpose, visually and sonicaly. This guitar was the first instrument off the bench incorporating\u00a0these new ideas. Many important decisions\u00a0were also made from my client’s\u00a0inspiration. On this particular guitar I also experimented by increasing the width at the upper bout. I got this idea from looking at a lot of Jimmy D’Aquisto’s later guitars where he was doing the same thing. It’s hard to tell from guitar to guitar what the extra half inch adds to the sound, but I can tell you that\u00a0after a few days old, I really like it.<\/p>\n
