This is a nice audio comparison between a carved, single piece maple “cello-style” Amati bridge with an adjustable Macassar ebony bridge on a 2020 Amati archtop<\/a>. My client recorded this with a Sontronics<\/a> large condenser tube mic into a Mercury M72 tube preamp with a Deluxe Reverb \u201cclone\u201d built by Mike Clark<\/a> (no EQ or compression).<\/p>\n
